What is Gastroscopy?
Gastroscopy is a procedure where a flexible gastroscope is introduced through the mouth to check the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum. It can be used to diagnose reflux oesophagitis; duodenal/stomach ulcer and stomach cancer.

 

What is Colonoscopy?
Colonoscopy is a procedure where a flexible colonoscope being inserted through the anus to check the rectum, colon and sometimes terminal ileum, the last part of small intestines. It can be used to diagnose colon polyp, diverticular disease, piles, colitis, Crohn’s disease and colon cancer.

What is Sigmoidoscopy?
Sigmoidoscopy is a procedure where a flexible colonoscope being inserted through the anus to check the rectum and upto the sigmoid colon. It can be used to diagnose colon polyp, diverticular disease, piles, colitis and colon cancer.

What is liver biopsy?
A liver biopsy is performed when a liver problem is difficult to diagnose with blood tests or imaging techniques, such as ultrasound and x ray. It is a day surgery procedure to remove a small piece of the liver so it can be examined with a microscope for signs or degree of liver damage. This will served as a guide for the future treatment for liver related diseases.
